About Dr. Mona Gomaa
Dr. Mona Gomaa is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with over 20 years of experience in women’s health, minimally invasive surgery, and comprehensive gynecologic care. She graduated from the University of Alexandria Faculty of Medicine and completed her residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit through Wayne State University, where she gained strong clinical and academic training across a wide range of specialties, including emergency medicine, surgical intensive care, and internal medicine.
Following residency, Dr. Gomaa pursued advanced fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Stanford University, where she developed expertise in complex laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. Her surgical experience includes diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, diagnostic and operative cystoscopy with ureter stent placement and removal, bladder resection of endometriosis, laparoscopic myomectomy, ovarian surgery, endometrial ablation, ovarian cystectomy , and LEEP.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Gomaa has contributed to research at Northwestern University, exploring connections between hormonal profiles and cardiovascular disease risk. Dr. Gomaa has practiced in the Chicago area for over a decade, providing compassionate, patient-centered care in both outpatient and hospital settings. She is experienced in managing high patient volumes while maintaining a strong focus on individualized treatment, preventive care, and long-term women’s health.
Dr. Gomaa is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and empowering women through every stage of life. She speaks Arabic besides English.
