Post-Botox Care Instructions

To ensure the best results and minimize side effects, please follow these guidelines after your Botox treatment.

First 4 Hours

• Keep your head elevated and avoid lying down.
• Gently move your facial muscles (frown, raise eyebrows, smile) to help the Botox settle.
• Avoid touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated area to prevent unwanted spread.

First 24 Hours

• Refrain from strenuous exercise, including workouts, yoga, or heavy lifting.
• Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) to minimize bruising.
• Skip facials, massages, or any treatments that apply pressure to the face.
• Wash your face gently using mild soap and lukewarm water.

First 48 Hours

• Avoid excessive heat exposure, including saunas, hot showers, and tanning beds.
• Sleep on your back to prevent pressure on the treated areas.

General Notes

• Botox results develop gradually, with full effects appearing within 3–7 days and optimal results around 14 days.
• Mild side effects such as redness, swelling, or minor bruising are normal and should resolve within a few days.
• A follow-up appointment can be scheduled in two weeks if needed for assessment or touch-ups.

When to Seek Medical Attention

If you experience excessive swelling, difficulty breathing, vision changes, or severe headaches, contact our office immediately.
