We understand that every woman has a vision for her delivery and we are proud to offer a range of options that includes Midwifery.  Our midwives work hand in hand with our doctors ensuring that you and your baby are provided with every advantage possible during your birth.

A Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who has finished graduate-level education (either a Master of Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree).  In addition, CNM’s complete their training with clinical practicum hours in the clinic and also deliver babies in a hospital under the supervision of experienced CNM’s and Physicians.  CNM’s are experts in normal pregnancy and the birthing process and often work in labor and delivery as nurses before completing their advanced degree.  All midwives provide care for women across the lifespan, including annual women’s health visits; family planning; pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care; treatment of infections; and menopausal care. CNMs are able to prescribe a full range of medications and treatments, including pain control medications.  Many midwives undergo additional training to provide ultrasound, insert birth control devices, and assist with cesarean sections.  Some midwives are trained to provide infant circumcision.
